Viettel Opens Up Many Defense Cooperation Opportunities for Vietnam and Malaysia.

Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army said, during his visit and work with Viettel Group at the Asia-Pacific Defense and Security Exhibition - DSA & NATSEC 2024.

Attending DSA & NATSEC 2024, the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense delegation, led by Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, attended as the head of the delegation. Here, Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, remarked that with 18 years of organization, DSA & NATSEC 2024 is a large-scale exhibition in the region and is well organized. The number of commercial visitors to the exhibition reached 50,000, including 400 international delegations from high-ranking military and civilian sectors. Especially, the exhibition gathered many reputable defense enterprises from around the world, which is the highlight of the exhibition.

After visiting DSA & NATSEC 2024, Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan revealed that the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense had Viettel Group represented at the exhibition, showcasing products in areas such as radar, optoelectronics, communication information, electronic warfare, simulation models, etc. Additionally, Viettel introduced internationally to friends documents on UAV researched, mastered, and produced by Viettel. According to Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan's assessment, Viettel's presence at the exhibition opens up many opportunities for cooperation in the defense industry for the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense, the Vietnamese military in general, and Viettel in particular. This, in turn, promotes the increasingly substantive and better relationship between Vietnam and Malaysia.

According to the Lieutenant General, enhancing the promotion of defense industry commerce activities is the embodiment of the Party's and the State's orientation towards international integration, especially in implementing the development of Vietnam's defense industry in a proactive, self-reliant, self-sufficient, adaptive, and modern manner, meeting the needs of building and protecting the homeland in the new situation, especially in building a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern military in the future.
