Viettel High Tech collaborated with South Korea's largest company in the Smart City sector

Attending the signing ceremony on behalf of ESE Company Limited were CEO Park Kyoung Sik and ESE’s representative in Vietnam, Mr. Choi Myung Su. Nguyễn Cương Hoàng, Deputy General Director of VHT, hosted the working delegation from ESE Company Limited. Representatives from the Business Center and the Civil Sector were also in attendance.

During the meeting, Deputy General Director Nguyễn Cương Hoàng provided an overview of VHT’s products across its three key areas: military, telecommunications, and civil applications. According to the VHT representative, both sides have significant opportunities for collaboration in the civil sector, and VHT hopes that in the near future, ESE will have the chance to experience VHT’s products in the areas where ESE is investing.

In discussions with VHT, ESE CEO Park Kyoung Sik expressed his admiration for VHT's IoT product portfolio. He mentioned that ESE, which has been established for 23 years, primarily operates in the fields of smart citiy and smart operations center. ESE is currently expanding its business activities based on the achievements it has already made.

While implementing smart city projects, ESE has encountered several challenges, particularly related to the costs of deploying cameras. Additionally, ESE is focusing its resources on smart projects for railways, airports, roads, and especially highways.

Mr. Park Kyoung Sik expressed interest in VHT's pilot deployment of camera products in five provinces and cities: Hai Phong, Thai Nguyen, Can Tho, Hue, and Tien Giang. The representative from Korea also suggested that if VHT's camera products can meet the requirement of recognizing South Korean license plates, ESE would explore the possibility of installing and testing VHT’s camera products on highways in South Korea or at certain key locations.

In response to ESE's request, VHT representative affirmed that VHT is fully capable of customizing its camera products to meet the company's requirements in a short period of time. VHT asked ESE to evaluate the product and set requirements for a 5G AI camera ITS (5G AI camera for traffic).

ESE's CEO commended Viettel Group and VHT for their strong capabilities in high-tech industries. He agreed that ESE and VHT could focus on collaborating to solve each other's challenges.

Through this partnership with ESE, VHT hopes that ESE will become one of the key distributors of VHT's 5G AI camera ITS and other products in smart city projects that ESE invests in. Additionally, VHT aims to learn from and share experiences regarding ESE's platforms and products, such as the IOC Platform, CCTV Platform, and IoT Platform for smart cities. Furthermore, VHT plans to support ESE in expanding its business in the Vietnamese market.

After signing the memorandum of understanding with ESE, VHT introduced VTS (Viettel Telecom Solutions) to the ESE partners, aiming to broaden cooperation opportunities between Viettel Group and ESE.

Before the official meeting on May 5th, VHT and ESE Company Limited had exchanged information about each other's products and areas of operation, with a particular focus on the 5G Camera ITS product.
