Viettel launches 5G O-RAN Massive MIMO network in Vietnam, leveraging Qualcomm platforms, with over 300 sites planned by 2025 and future global expansion.

Hanoi, November 13, 2024. Viettel High Tech and Qualcomm officially launch the "5G Open RAN Connect 2024" event, marking Vietnam's first major gathering focused on the field of Open RAN.

Viettel High Technology attended the Open RAN Symposium in the U.S., showcasing its 5G ecosystem, expanding international partnerships, and affirming capabilities.

Viettel’s 5G network is uniquely powered by domestically manufactured equipment, showcasing Vietnam’s technological self-sufficiency in telecommunications innovation.

Viettel secures its first million-dollar contract in the field of Research and Manufacturing Equipment in the Philippine market.

The company has deployed this technology in several provinces across Vietnam, including Hanoi and Da Nang, and plans further expansion. Notably, Viettel High Tech is also exporting its 5G base station equipment to India, showcasing Vietnam’s growing technological capabilities in the global telecommunications industry.

On the afternoon of February 27, Viettel High Tech (VHT) signed a cooperation agreement with DeepTech.

From April 24 to April 28, in Mongolia, Viettel High Technology (VHT) conducted a visit and working session with the Mongolian Ministry of Defense.

On the afternoon of May 5, at Hoa Lac, Viettel High Tech signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ESE Company Limited from South Korea.

From September 9 to October 25, VHT engineers completed the installation of the first Private 5G network system on VHT's equipment and provided training for their partner, Quadgen, in India.
