The visit and words of encouragement from Lieutenant General and Hero of the People’s Armed Forces Phạm Tuân have become both a great honor and a powerful source of inspiration for Viettel High Tech to continue asserting Vietnamese intelligence on the global map of defense technology.
At the invitation of Viettel High Tech, Lieutenant General Phạm Tuân visited the company’s facilities and shared his thoughts on Viettel’s remarkable progress in the field of defense industry development.
Speaking to engineers and staff at VHT, he remarked:
“What I have seen today at the exhibition is, in my view, just the beginning. Our defense industry is gradually modernizing. With the Party and State’s strategic vision to advance national defense technology and promote self-reliance, this sector is receiving strong attention and investment.”
Lieutenant General Phạm Tuân also expressed confidence in the contributions of domestic defense units, citing the 69 categories of weapons and military equipment showcased at the event. Among them, the Viettel HIgh Tech stood out with its display of cutting-edge technologies such as UAVs, electronic warfare radars, and next-generation soldier equipment including multi-channel night vision helmets and thermal imaging sights.
“These are promising signs for Vietnam’s defense industry,” he said, “and they show that Viettel has mastered many advanced technologies, contributing to the development of modern weapon systems that help enhance the strength and protection of the nation.”
The high-tech defense products developed by Viettel High Tech were showcased at the Vietnam International Defense Expo 2024, held from December 19 to 22. The company’s exhibition booth featured over 80 products and modules, covering 10 categories of technical military equipment developed for the Vietnam People’s Army.
These include high-tech weapon systems, communications equipment, radar, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), electronic warfare systems, simulation and training models, and cyber warfare solutions—all representing Viettel’s growing role as a leading innovator in Vietnam’s defense sector.
